uilt in 1904, the Christmas House has embraced many celebrations for almost a century. Built originally for entertaining, it was the lavish Christmas parties that earned the house its historical name, "The Christmas House." Weddings have been a part of the history of the Christmas House since its beginning. These walls have witnessed many vows being pledged, many glasses raised, and many tears of joy that come with new beginnings. In keeping with the century-old tradition, the Christmas House can be reserved for weddings and receptions, luncheons, and parties. Each year, we carry on the tradition for which the house was named by making the Christmas House available for holiday festivities. We offer six guest rooms at the inn, each having its own décor, amenities, and mood. Every room is furnished in period antiques and graced with fresh flowers from our gardens. We provide lush terrycloth robes for your use and feature featherbeds, goose down comforters and pillows, and luxury linens. A gourmet breakfast is included, set on antique china, and served in the dining room or in your bedroom. We feel that much of the house's character is a reflection of the people who have lived here, people who have celebrated here, and people who have passed through, who have imparted something of themselves to this place.
