uilt in 1904, the Christmas House has embraced many celebrations for almost a century.
Built originally for entertaining, it was the lavish Christmas parties that earned the
house its historical name, "The Christmas House." Weddings
have been a part of the history of the Christmas House since its beginning. In keeping with the century-old tradition, the Christmas House can be reserved for weddings and receptions, luncheons, and parties. New in 2008, we invite you to experience the beauty and warmth of the Christmas House for Afternoon Tea, on Sunday afternoons once a month. We offer six guest rooms at the inn, each having its own décor, amenities, and mood. Every room is furnished in period antiques and graced with fresh flowers from our gardens. We provide lush terrycloth robes for your use and feature featherbeds, goose down comforters and pillows, and luxury linens. A gourmet breakfast is included, set on antique china, and served in the dining room or in your bedroom. We feel that much of the house's character is a reflection of the people who have lived here, people who have celebrated here, and people who have passed through, who have imparted something of themselves to this place. That is the patina that builds up year after year, visit after visit, wedding after wedding. We invite you to become part of this tradition. |
