Everything in Its Place

Every wedding at the Christmas House Inn & Gardens makes the most of our beautiful setting. The entire celebration is designed to rotate through the gardens and house, giving each component of the event its own atmosphere and creating as many picture-perfect moments as possible. The classic romance we infuse into each location has made us a favorite outdoor wedding venue of Southern California.

Intimate ceremony

The White Garden

Designed with a wedding ceremony in mind, the hundreds of white roses that give the garden its name define this classic English garden-room. Along with roses, this area is framed with a sky hedge of Indian laurel fig trees that open up to a view of the historic house and the bride descending the stairs toward the garden. I do's are exchanged in front of a birdcage gazebo, anchored by a classic 1904 garden urn, while a vintage French fountain provides a soothing backdrop.

Inviting Interlude

The House

The house is open to guests during the entire celebration and becomes the main area during cocktail hour. While the bridal party makes use of the gardens for photographs, hors d’oeuvres are passed on silver trays through the comfortable and inviting atmosphere of the house and veranda.

The Evening Gardens

Dinner is served alfresco amid the vestiges of the old citrus ranch. Delicate chandeliers hang from the fairy light–adorned branches of citrus and magnolia trees. The wedding cake is staged under a gossamer net suspended from a grapefruit tree until the cutting ceremony.

Enchanting Reception

The Garden Ballroom

Mimicking the classic ballrooms of grand Victorian estates, this garden blurs the lines between inside and outside. Eight crystal chandeliers seem to float, unaided, above the traditional black and white diamond dance floor and grand carved wooden mirrors. Classic topiaries line three sides of the dance floor creating a focal point of the Cupid Garden at the far end of the ballroom.
